Makeup Propaganda I Fell For and Love

Makeup Propaganda I Fell For (Because They’re That Good)

We’ve all been there: scrolling, swiping, watching reviews, and suddenly… you’re convinced. It’s in your cart. It’s on your face. And sometimes? The hype is real.

As a professional makeup artist, I’m exposed to a lot of beauty chatter, viral reviews, and TikTok trends. But today, I’m giving you the inside scoop on the makeup propaganda I totally fell for - and have zero regrets. These products aren’t just hype - they’ve earned a spot in my kit and in my personal makeup bag.

The Full-Face Lineup That Lives Up to the Hype

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

The legend. This foundation is everywhere for a reason - it’s luminous without being greasy, buildable without looking cakey, and looks stunning both in-person and on camera. Great for all skin types, and especially flawless on brides.

Natasha Denona Concealer

Silky, smoothing, and never creasy. This concealer is newer to me, but I totally understand the obsession now. Lightweight yet effective - yes, please.

Westman Atelier Cream Contour

Clean beauty meets sculpted perfection. It blends like butter and gives the most natural definition. It’s pricey, but you’ll use every last swipe.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder

The ultimate touch-up queen. It really does give that “airbrushed” finish and smooths everything out without dulling your glow.

Givenchy Brightening Powder

A gorgeous under-eye setting powder with a brightening effect that doesn’t flash back. It’s luxe, but worth every penny if you want that lifted, awake look.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder

Yes, it’s THAT good. Super fine, holds makeup all day, and blurs like a dream. A true staple if you love a long-wear, soft-matte finish.

Armani Luminous Silk Glow Bronzer

I talked about this in my recent “favorite bronzers” blog post, too - because I’m obsessed. Big compact, perfect finish, a little luminosity without sparkle. Just chef’s kiss.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

Soft-focus, radiant, buildable. These blushes give you that candlelit-from-within vibe. I reach for them constantly.

Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette (Highlighter)

Dior does glow right. These highlighters are smooth, pigmented, and never chunky. Great for both subtle sheen and full glam.

Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette

If you love neutrals with a twist, this one’s a no-brainer. The mattes blend like a dream and the shimmers are showstoppers.

Makeup by Mario Master Pigment Pro Eyeliner

One of the best pencil liners out there. Ultra-black, doesn’t budge, and blends easily if you’re into that soft smudged look.

Caliray Come Hell or High Water Mascara

It’s clean, water-resistant, and gives fluttery lashes with zero clumping. It also actually stays put.

Kosas Air Brow (Tinted Gel)

Adds just the right amount of tint, hold, and fluff. Not crunchy or sticky - just effortless brows.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

An OG, and still unbeatable for precise, natural-looking brows. Sometimes, the classics just don’t get dethroned.

Makeup by Mario Lip Liner

Creamy, pigmented, and comes in chef’s kiss shades like “Smokey Pink.” Stays on all day and pairs with literally any lip look.

YSL Beauty Lipstick

A luxurious nude with a glossy, hydrating finish. The kind of lipstick you want to reapply because it feels that good.

Tower 28 Lip Gloss

Vegan, non-sticky, super shiny, and nourishing. Great alone or layered - it’s a no-fuss, feel-good gloss.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

Locks everything in and somehow makes your skin look better over time. A forever repurchase.

Final Thoughts

I’ll admit it - sometimes beauty marketing works. But the trick is knowing when the product actually delivers. These makeup must-haves may be hype at first, but they’ve fully earned their cult status in my world.
