Wedding Day Makeup vs. Preview Day Makeup: Molly
Wedding Day Makeup vs. Preview Day Makeup: Molly’s Look Breakdown
Because the glow hits differently on your wedding day..
One of my favorite things about working with brides is seeing how their wedding day vision evolves between the bridal preview and the big day. Molly is a perfect example of this - her preview was gorgeous, but her wedding day look? Next level. Let’s break down the subtle but impactful changes we made to get her ready to walk down the aisle:
Glowing Skin, Thanks to a Spray Tan
Molly got a natural, radiant spray tan from No Shade Spray Tanning before the big day, and it made all the difference. Not only did it even out her skin tone, but it also gave her that soft, lit-from-within glow that photographed beautifully.
Eyeshadow Tweaks for a Softer, Brighter Eye
For the wedding day, we shifted her eyeshadow from warm bronze tones to champagne shades with a bit more shimmer. It opened up her eyes and complemented her glow perfectly - just a slight change with a major impact.
New Lash Style = Game Changer
I decided to use a different lash style for Molly’s wedding day - and I’m so glad I did. The lashes looked soft, fluttery, and natural - adding just the right amount of drama without looking overdone.
A Touch More Blush
Because let’s be honest: more blush is always a good idea. It brings life and warmth to the face, especially when paired with a spray tan and soft glam makeup. I bumped up the blush ever so slightly, and it brought the whole look together.
Layered Lip Liners for Depth + Dimension
On the wedding day, I used multiple lip liners to build subtle contour and fullness around Molly’s lips. This technique is one of my favorites - it gives the illusion of more volume while still looking soft and romantic.
Body Shimmer Moment
Since Molly wore a strapless gown, I added a bit of body shimmer to her shoulders and collarbone to enhance her skin’s glow. It’s such a small detail, but it adds a luxurious finish to the whole look.
& The Hair!
Last but definitely not least, Molly’s hair was styled to perfection by Hair By Nataliya. Hair and makeup go hand in hand - and when both are done right, it elevates the entire bridal look. Molly looked absolutely stunning.
