Get The Look: Maggie’s Rehearsal Glam
Rehearsal dinner makeup is honestly one of my favorite looks to create. It needs to feel special - you're celebrating, you're glowing, everyone is looking at you - but it also needs to feel like you. Not overdone. Not so polished that it feels like you're wearing a costume the night before your wedding.
For Maggie's rehearsal dinner, we went with something soft, romantic, and a little flirty. Think: dewy skin, a warm flush of color, fluttery lashes, and the kind of lip that looks effortless but is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Perfect for spring/summer!
Here's exactly how we built the look:
Skin
The base was all about that lit-from-within glow. I started with the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Drops underneath everything — this stuff is my secret weapon for giving skin that juicy, fresh look that photographs beautifully.
For color correction and evening out the skin, I reached for the MPH Underpainting Palette before foundation. It's one of those products that not enough people know about, and it makes such a difference in how seamlessly the foundation wears.
Foundation-wise, I used the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation — a forever favorite and basically the gold standard for a radiant, skin-like finish — topped with the Dior Star Filter for a little extra luminosity. And for any areas that needed a touch more coverage, the Natasha Denona Concealer is incredibly blendable and never looks cakey.
To set everything and keep it in place all night, I used Charlotte Tilbury Powder lightly where needed, and finished with One Size On Til Dawn Setting Spray at the very end.
Bronzer, Blush & Highlight
This is where Maggie's look really came to life. I layered blush and bronzer the way I always do — building warmth and dimension before adding that final pop of color.
For bronzer, I used the Gucci Bronzer in 03. It's soft, buildable, and gives the most natural sun-kissed warmth.
Then came the blush moment — and yes, I used multiple. I love layering blush formulas for a result that looks like it's coming from within the skin rather than sitting on top of it. For Maggie, I used:
Charlotte Tilbury Cream Blush in Rosy Glow — pressed in first as the base
Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in Happy — for that natural, flushed-from-within look
Patrick Ta Blush in Just Enough and She's A Doll — layered on top for dimension and staying power
Hourglass Blush in Sublime Flush — a final soft layer to blend everything together beautifully
For highlight, I used the Dior Maximizer Highlighter in Rosy and the Prada Highlighter in 02. Both give an incredible lit-up glow without ever looking glittery or overdone.
Eyes & Brows
For the eyes, we kept things soft and feminine. I used the Hourglass Idealist Eyeshadow Palette — the shades are incredibly wearable and buildable, perfect for a romantic, blended-out look.
Liner was the Make Up For Ever Eyeliner in Dimensional Dark Brown — brown liner is always my preference for softer, more romantic looks. Black can feel too harsh depending on the eye shape and desired effect, and this one gives just the right amount of definition.
Lashes were the Ardell Naked 420s — one of my go-to styles for brides and bridal events. They're fluttery, wispy, and natural-looking without being too dramatic. I finished with Maybelline Sky High Mascara to blend the natural lashes into the falsies seamlessly.
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Gel to set the shape and the Glossier Boy Brow Pencil to fill in any sparse areas. The goal was brushed-up and natural — never drawn-on.
Lips
The lip was romantic and wearable — the kind of color that looks polished in photos but isn't so bold that it competes with everything else going on.
I lined with the Make Up For Ever Lip Liner in Anywhere Caffeine and Makeup by Mario Lip Liner in Johnny — layering two liners gives incredible staying power and helps the lipstick wear more evenly throughout the night.
For color, I used Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Kim KW and Liv It Up — both are such beautiful, wearable shades and they layered together perfectly for Maggie's coloring. Finished with a touch of Fenty Gloss in Sweetmouth for that glossy, just-kissed finish.
Setting the Look
To lock everything in for a full night of celebrating, I finished with the One Size Powder Melt Spray and On Til Dawn Setting Spray. The combination of both is something I swear by for event makeup — it melts the powder into the skin so nothing looks powdery in photos, and it keeps everything in place for hours.
