Clean Girl Bridal Makeup Breakdown

Get the inside scoop on this “clean girl” bridal makeup look I created for my bride Sarah for her Hawaiian beach wedding (hint: I didn’t even use foundation!)

There’s nothing like a summer luau to inspire an effortless, beachy glam—and for Sarah’s look, the vibe was natural, skin-focused, and Hailey Bieber-approved. She asked for a soft, bronzy moment with one non-negotiable: no foundation.

Here’s how I brought Sarah’s vision to life with a dewy, radiant Clean Girl Makeup look that let her skin shine…

Skin Prep: Fresh, Glowy & Clean

Instead of foundation, I layered radiance-boosting skin enhancers to even tone and add glow without covering up her natural complexion.

CHANEL Baume Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick to hydrate and prime the skin.

URBAN DECAN Face Luminizer for all-over radiance.

DIOR BEAUTY Forever Glow Star Filter added a soft-focus effect with subtle coverage and light reflection.

Sculpt & Highlight: Creams Only

Keeping everything fresh and skin-like, I used cream products to softly shape and brighten her features.

DIOR BEAUTY Cream Contour Stick to gently define the cheekbones and jawline.

RARE BEAUTY Light Liquid Luminizer Highlighter on the high points for a glowy, lit-from-within finish.

HOURGLASS Unreal Liquid Blush for a flushed, beachy glow.

Eyes: Bronzy and Barely-There

We kept the eyes simple but glowy, pulling from that golden hour inspiration.

GUCCI Glow Bronzer for a subtle shimmer base and soft definition.

DIOR BEAUTY Bronze Highlight on the lids to catch the light.

YSL BEAUTY Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara in Brown to keep the lashes defined but natural.

Set & Perfect

To keep the skin looking fresh without going greasy:

A light dusting of GIVENCHY BEAUTY Powder in the T-zone—just enough to control shine, without dulling the glow.

Lips: Glossy & Polished

We finished the look with a neutral lip combo that’s low-effort, high-impact:

MAKEUP FOREVER Lip Liner in Wherever Walnut

Topped with TOWER 28 Shannon Milky Lip Jelly in Oat for a juicy, soft finish.

The Final Look:

Skin-forward, bronzy, and effortlessly polished—exactly what you want for a warm summer night. This Clean Girl makeup moment gave Sarah that fresh glow without covering her natural beauty, and the no-foundation approach made it all the more modern.
