Product Review: Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

Happy Monday, friends!  It's currently Sunday night as I'm sitting on my couch writing this post.  I leave to travel to the Bahamas early tomorrow morning, and I am so excited!  I figured I should pre-schedule a couple of blog posts for this week, that way I'm not completely MIA from Makeup by Caitlyn Michelle.

Today's post is another product review.  I've been using Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter for at least half a year now (maybe longer?).  Marc Jacobs actually sent me the highlighter when it first launched, which made me do a little happy dance.  Here's what you need to know about the gel...

What exactly is it?

A lightweight, coconut-infused gel highlighter that can be applied to the skin directly or added into foundation or primer for a universally flattering glow.

How to apply:

I like to use this product in two different ways.  I either directly apply the highlight to the skin (after I apply foundation and concealer) to the highpoints of my cheekbones as well as my cupid's bow.  Or I blend the product in with my foundation to transform the consistency and finish into a beautiful illumination.

Helpful hint:

A little bit of product goes a long way.  This gel highlighter builds for the ultimate sheen, and the sensual, golden-peach hue flatters all skin tones with warm radiance.  It’s formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish the skin.

Overall thoughts:

This highlighter has become an essential staple in my kit.  I love how it looks applied on top of foundation, mixed in with foundation, as well as a base highlighter, and then top it with a powder highlight, such as Champagne Pop by Becca.
