Meet Caitlyn,

I’m Caitlyn Dominic, a soft glam makeup artist based in Charlotte, NC with more than twelve years of professional experience, trusted by women of all ages to boost your confidence, help you feel extra beautiful, and elevate your makeup.
THIS IS MY STORY
From a very young age, art came to me naturally. I loved drawing and painting from the moment I picked up a marker and a brush. Then when I was five years old, I started dance. I went on to become a competitive dancer and learned to do stage makeup for competitions and recitals - liquid eyeliner, false lashes, red lipstick, and all.
In high school and college, my girlfriends would always ask me to do their makeup because they knew I was good at it (think: smokey eye circa 2008 - 2012). After years of practicing on friends and family, I decided to really start focusing on creating makeup looks on anyone I could get my hands on, invested in professional training and sanitation courses, and since then...well, here we are.

Aside from my makeup artistry skills, I pride myself on the highest level of professionalism, care, service, expertise, communication, organization, and sanitation. I also have the ability to understand each client’s wants and needs and use the right products and techniques to achieve “the look” (my specialty makeup look can be described as “soft glam”).

Absolutely! For weddings, I travel on-location to wherever you plan on getting ready, whether that’s at your home, hotel, or venue.
For non-wedding makeup appointments, I offer sessions both in-studio and on-location.

Please do not get a facial or wax your brows/face a few days prior to the makeup appointment, otherwise, the makeup application will not go on as it should.
Be sure to come to your appointment with a clean face. Feel free to do whatever skincare you normally do in the morning/prior to applying makeup.

While the choice is ultimately up to you, I recommend doing your bridal makeup preview 1 - 3 months before your wedding day. From my experience, this time frame is the sweet spot so that the “big day” isn’t too far away, and you’ve hopefully gotten into a good skincare routine/have a good idea of your complete wedding day vision at this point.

Yes, the current minimum to book Makeup by Caitlyn Michelle is $1,200 in wedding day services.

She was so great with communication and answering any questions I had. She was so knowledgeable on all her products and recommending what she felt like was going to look the best! I completely trusted her the whole way. She was so relaxed throughout the day and such a joy to be around with all of my bridesmaids as well as my family members! My bridesmaids absolutely adored her too, whether they showed her inspirations pictures or didn’t know what they wanted Caitlyn knew exactly what to do and they looked amazing! Caitlyn made me feel so naturally pretty on my wedding day and my bridal make up lasted the entire night!
