Now Booking 2020 Weddings in Charlotte, NC!
I have an announcement to make…and it’s pretty big. Makeup by Caitlyn Michelle is heading south, y’all!
Ever since I was a senior in college, I dreamed of moving to a bigger city. Nothing too big, though. People always ask why I don’t live in NYC or LA to pursue makeup artistry. I love visiting those cities, but they just aren’t for me. For some reason, I used to always talk about moving to Charlotte, NC, without ever even visiting it. One of my best friends moved there in 2015, and it made me interested in the city even more. Then, I had the opportunity to move there last June. I had to make a decision very quickly (within 48 hours). Because moving at that time would have meant I would be walking away from some of the 2018 weddings I had already booked, I had to say no.
Even though I turned down the opportunity, I still had this urge, or maybe just curiosity, about Charlotte. So I booked a flight and flew down to see if I could really envision myself living there. I had been talking to one of my friends who lives in Charlotte. I’ve known him since we were young and went to high school and college together. He offered to show me around and what not. Long story short…we’ve been together ever since.❤️
Since I’ve had Charlotte on the mind for years, it’s where my boyfriend lives, and I’ve always wanted to move to a “bigger” city before I turn 30, what better time than now? This is something I’ve been planning for months, making sure that I stay in Rochester until all of my 2019 weddings are completed. This means I won’t actually move from Rochester to Charlotte until late October/early November of 2019.
So, yeah, there you have it! I am now officially booking 2020 WEDDING MAKEUP IN CHARLOTTE, NC! If you live in Charlotte, have any friends or family there, or know anyone getting married there in 2020, I would LOVE if you would help me spread the word! During the past seven years, so much of my business has been a result of referrals. I know that it will take me some time to build a reputation in a brand new, bigger city, but you gotta start somewhere, right?!
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far, and to everyone who will be a part of it in the future. Cheers to new, exciting adventures, and stepping out of comfort zones. The thought of moving 12 hours away from my family and friends is scary to me, but you never know what’s on the other side of a door unless you open it…
