Purity Made Simple
Have you ever been so loyal to a product, you wouldn’t dare dream of cheating on it? The thought of switching it up with something else makes your stomach curl. Okay, maybe that’s a tad bit dramatic, but you get my point. Well my friends, that’s how I feel about my facial cleanser.
I have been so loyal to one cleanser in particular, it has been my ride-or-die, tried-and-true gal for years now (yes, I’m referring to my cleanser as my gal-pal). What cleanser am I referring to? Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser by Philosophy.
Now don’t get me wrong: I’m a makeup artist, beauty blogger, and product junkie, so I have tried other cleansers. Quite frequently, actually. I’ve picked up new ones to try while at Sephora and had other ones sent to me as PR. Some have been great, some so-so, and some downright bad. But there is just something about Purity that keeps me coming back for more. It’s always better than any other cleansers I’ve tried. So whenever I am running low, I head to Sephora or Ulta and restock on my tried and true.
Why do I love Purity so much? It leaves me with that truly clean feeling. With some other cleansers that I’ve tried in the past, I had to use a few pumps of the product to feel like my face was really clean. I only need a little bit of purity (the size of a dime or less) to gently cleanse and melt away makeup in one try. I have naturally oily skin, and this definitely helps control that oiliness. It also doesn’t dry me out, at all, which some other cleansers have done to my face before. Simply put, Purity makes my skin feel completely balanced (not oily and not dry…just right).
Another thing I really love about Purity Made Simple is that it’s not just a cleanser; they offer additional products, too. I currently use the One-Step Facial Cleansing Cloths and Micellar Cleansing Water. When I’m doing my nighttime skincare routine, I first take a facial cleansing cloth to remove the makeup from my face. I then wash my face with the cleanser, warm water, and my hands or my Clarisonic Mia2. Finally, I take a cotton round and pour a bit of the micellar cleansing water onto the pad, and gently wipe my face. This last step guarantees that any last traces of makeup, dirt, etc. are banished!
At the end of my skincare routine, whether it’s morning or night, I’m left feeling so refreshed, clean, and well…pure! Do you have a favorite cleanser? Leave a comment and let me know which one is your go-to!
